What would you do?

I need your help. :)

My Hubby and I are planning a trip to vist our son before he gets deployed.  He is near DC, actually smack between D.C. and Baltimore.  We will be driving from Florida (travelling I-95) to that area, passing through Georgia, South and North Carolina, as well as Virginia.  While we won't have any time to see things on the way up, we are planning a slow paced drive back down.

I have some ideas on obvious places we want to see and go, but I don't want to miss something that would be a "must" ~ so I am consulting the experts ~ YOU! :)

If YOU were going to that area, and travelling through all those states along I-95...what would be a MUST SEE, EAT or DO place to stop?

  1. If you go just a measly 4 more hours up north, you can come here!!

I am useless with most anything under DC. I had never been below DC until last year when my daughter moved to VA Beach. And now tha's all I know in the south. lol. Sad, but true.

Now if you wanted to know Revolutionary War history spots, NYC, Ellis Island, Statue of Liberty, Museums of the area... I know too much!

    But south of DC...bummer.

  3. my hubby says South of the border is a fun little place to stop and stretch...I am asking him. He is from Virginia and we both lived in Wilson, NC. Williamsburg is a great place but it is about 40 minutes east of 95 in Virginia.
He says alot of civil war stuff in petersburg and richmond.
HOpe you have a wonderful time.
