Today I'm joining in with Genny at My Cup 2 Yours, for her "Talkin About Thursday's" meme. Today we're talking about a nature photo that we've taken...here is one from me...
I was born, and for the most part, raised in Texas. I've lived in Florida for about 15 years now, and I love it here, I'm married to a Florida native, and consider myself to be an 'adopted' Floridian.
BUT... you know what they say..."You can take the girl outta Texas, but you can't take Texas outta the girl"...Oh...you didn't know "they" say that? Yup. :)
I'll be the first to admit that there are many beautiful places to see in this great country, so many different ways that season are represented,...but there is just nothing quite like spring in the Texas Hill Country; it is one of the most beautiful sites I've ever seen. The roadsides are literally covered in wildflowers. In particular, it's the Bluebonnets that steal the show, and my hear. It's not uncommon to drive along the rural highways at this time of year and see families sprawled out in fields of flowers taking annual photos.
I've done it myself...this is my sister Tina and me about 10 years ago.
I love those pictures my friend. We need a picture of us in a field of flowers! LOL! Maybe when your front yard starts getting wild we can sit in the middle of it! Hee! Hee!
ReplyDeleteLove you!
Beautiful photos! Love the flowers!
ReplyDeleteThat is an absolutely GORGEOUS photograph! Hope it's hanging on your wall somewhere in your home! If not...it should be!
ReplyDeletePeace and blessings to your day.

ReplyDeleteLove ya loads, bluebonnet buddy!
Have a JESUS-filled day! ^i^
The photos are beautiful - I had Google Bluebonnets to learn more about them - and discovered they are the Texas flower - learn something new every day - I always imagine Texas to be hot and dry?!.
ReplyDeleteI love fields of native flowers.
Have a wonderful weekend.
I'm not originally from TX but have lived in San Antonio, TX for the past 2 and 1/2yrs ans still have never visited the Hill Country side.
ReplyDeleteI suppose it's the perfect time of the year to take a random trip with the fam. right alongside my camera.
