FOR TODAY: March 2, 2010
Outside my window...Strong winds are blowing, swaying palm fronds and creating songs from my wind chimes...puddles on the road from the early morning rain...
I am thinking...about projects and housework that needs to get done today...
I am thankful for...The graciousness of God in giving us the beauty and joy in sunshine, birds, flowers, rain...
From the kitchen...Peanut Butter cookies for my son. Bread for our household. Chicken over salad for dinner tonight. I'm thinking about attempting to make tortillas with brown rice flour...we'll see how that works out...
I am wearing...bright green socks with non-skid bottoms (lol), pink long sleeve jammie top and pink and green plain jammie pants...yup, I'm a sight for sore eyes! :)
I am creating...still working on "perfecting" an apron pattern today...making a "spring" wreath for my front door....hemming several pairs of hubbies pants and taking in a shirt.
I am going...no where except the gym this evening with my precious hubby! :) I love days when I have no plans to go anywhere and I can just do all my house stuff, staying cozy inside. :) I am truly blessed!
I am reading...(re-reading) 12 Steps To Becoming A More Organized Woman, a Bible Study I'm going to do with a young friend.
I am hoping...the sun comes out soon! :)
I am hearing...wind...
Around the house...general housework needs doing today, dusting, floors, sewing projects, laundry...
One of my favorite things...waking up next to my husband, opening my eyes and seeing his eyes looking at me....makes my heart so happy...
A few plans for the rest of the week: Finishing putting out veggie plants, select some new roses for my garden, a massage on Thursday (woo-hoo!)...work on sewing 'how-to' videos ...
Here is picture for thought I am sharing...
"And God said to Noah, 'This is the sign of the covenant which I have established between Me and all flesh that is on the earth.'"
Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. I've been browsing your blog and I really like what I see! You're very creative, and I love your garden! Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteOh Kathy! I am sorry but I am laughing and would love to see you at this moment....the outfit sounds just precious! ;) Sounds like a wonderful day at home enjoying the many gifts you have been given....I couldn't sew to save my life....my husband (he is the baby of 4 girls) know how to though :) Phew! got out of that one didn't I !! :)
ReplyDeleteMy nana's recipe is actually the one on the back of the
Nestle Tollhouse chocolate chip bag for chocolate chip cookies....but here are a few things she does:
After making the dough ~ chill the dough in refrigerator for at least 30 min. before cooking and put dough in ref. while cookies bake.
Now ~ when you put cookies in over mine normally bake 11 min sometimes 12. So I put them in for 6 min. and rotate the cookie sheet and then add the remaining 5 or 6 min.
Last but not least when you take cookies out of oven remove them immediately from cookie sheet and place them on a brown paper sack. this pulls the grease out of them and they stay very soft and moist......
If you have any questions let me know ok! :) Love you and let me know if you make them....they are delicious!
that was suppose to say OVEN not OVER :)
