This is my first time joining Pam for this Meme. I loved the theme, how special! I guess I'm speaking from experience here since my one and only child has moved out and is now a young military man. I miss every single moment, even the tough ones, I miss them all!!
But here's one I'll share with you today... Boy Slumber Parties!
(Hello???? Somebody is gonna lose an eye with that stick ~ Can you boys keep it down out there? ~ Did someone say there was a free for all in the fridge? ~ Who's shoes are these? What is that smell???? ~ Did any of you take a shower today?)
Here's the ugly truth, in case you haven't figured it out yet...boys stink! Yup, you throw any number of 12 year old boys together, and they just plain ole stink! They play, sweat, run, sweat, laugh, sweat, eat, sweat, get wild, sweat, fart and sweat, oh did I say fart? Yeah, they do a lot of that...BUT you'd better enjoy every "stinkin" bit of it, because you are really going to miss it when they're gone! The laughter, the silly (and gross) stories, the food that gets consumed in massive amounts, the strange noises, the attempts "one-up" their friends with feats of strength, the piles of shoes and dirty socks, yup, I miss it, I really do. :)
Pop over to Pam's to see more posts like this one.
Have a beautiful day and hold on to those silly stinky boys while you've got 'em near!
I linked over and checked out the recipe. It looks great!
ReplyDeletehow fun and I can soooo relate and here is the funny thing.....they don't care do they...the more they stink the better it is! no matter how old they get....well I guess I should specify "when they all get together for their manly weekends or times like these"
