Daybook...

For Today, August 17, 2009

Outside my window...Golden Cosmos dancing in the breeze, crickets chirping outside my window, a shockingly blue sky and palm fronds swaying...
I am thinking...I really need to get in my kitchen and start preparing dessert for tonights BBQ

I am thankful for...my salvation, my husband, my home
From the kitchen...We are having a young couples Bible study group over tonight for an easy BBQ, burgers with fixins, Homemade Pasta Salad, Chipotle n Roasted Garlic Salsa with tortilla chips, cut veggies with ranch dip and of course dessert...4LayerPuddingDessert.

I am wearing...a white cotton sundress...
I am creating...cute denim "eco" shopping bags...

I am going...hopefully nowhere today, got enough to do at home. :)
I am reading...a wonderful book, God Grew Tired of Us by John Bul Dau. A true story of one of the Lost Boys of the Sudanese Civil War. His amazing faith and heartwrenching story will make you cringe at any hint of unthankfulness in your own life.

I am hoping...my son comes home for Christmas! :)
I am hearing...Crickets outside my window...or maybe Ciccadas?

Around the house...Finally finished the dining room "facelift", need to get working on the guest room.
One of my favorite things...My sewing machine...it's so neat to be able to creat things.

A few plans for the rest of the week... Girl time with my best friend, Kim on Tuesday. Thrift store shopping on Thursday, again with Kim - woo-hoo! 2 girl days in one week!!! :)
Here is picture thought I am sharing...

  5. Is this a real book? Or something you're blogging. It would be a nice thing for grandchildren to read one day when I'm no longer here. I would love to have something like this from my own grandmothers, to see their daily lives. An ordinary day wouldnt seem so ordinary.
