Photo Hunt - Sad

Today's theme was a little tough for me...I couldn't wrap my mind around photos that depicted this emotion, but I did my best...

I haven't seen my Mom in a few years, this is her blowing us kisses when we dropped her off at the Orlando Airport after our last visit - missing my Mom makes me sad...

I had hubby pull over, on a trip to N.C. several years ago, so I could take a photo of this smashed in old home. It's sad to think that this was once someones loved and cared for home, and now it sits there all alone with no kids runnin' around, no laundry blowin' in the breeze, no chickens cluckin' in the yard, just sad and lonely...

It's pretty sad that this is what "Camping" is today...OK, OK, I confess, I HAVE a small camper, but at least I don't have a satellite dish!!!! LOL

This is my Grandaddy, he turned 96 this past June. It makes me sad that he has lived 96 full, eventful, exciting years, raised 6 kids and been Grandaddy to over 20 grandkids, however he's unable to remember hardly any of it...but, he still remembers his "Quipie Doll" who died over 15 years ago, and he remembers that she was the most beautiful woman he ever saw.
Have a blessed day!

  4. What a great post. I loved all your photos. (I don't have a camper or a sat dish, though!). And your grandpa seems like such a wonderful man.

I did Photo Hunters today, too. I hope you get a chance to visit and post your link. It would make me *happy*!

  5. i really like the photo of the collapsed house. It reminds me of all the houses and barns I see like that driving through north carolina when I visit my extended family, and really the end of a certain way of life. Thanks for stopping by!

  13. I tried to comment sooner, but my connection has been even slower than the usual dial-up crawl. >:\

This was a tough theme for everyone. Your first pic made me sad for totally different reasons. 8-} I also included some old buildings. I wish I could rescue all those old places.

    Have a JESUS-filled day! ^i^
