Thankful Thursday - The Word

I am thankful for the Word of God...

Your word, O Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens. Your faithfulness continues through all generations; you established the earth, and it endures. Your laws endure to this day, for all things serve you. Psalm 119:89-91

How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Psalm 119:103

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path. Psalm 119:105

I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. Psalm 119:11

All your words are true; all your righteous laws are eternal. Psalm 119:160

Have a blessed day!

Refreshment...

"O Lord, you have searched me and you know me.

You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.

You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways.

Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O Lord.

You hem me in - behind and before; you have laid your hand upon me.

Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.

Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?

If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.

If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast."
Psalm 139-1-10

Friday Funnies

For my edition of Friday Funnies, I have chosen again to feature my dog... sorry, but she is our endless source of entertainment.

This is from about 3 years ago, when we bought her first frisbee. She felt the need to eat the entire label...

Hope this made you laugh, or at least giggle or smile today! :)

Photo Hunt - Lazy

Today's Photo Hunt theme is Lazy...here is my take on it, :)
Crashing while swinging...from the archives... :)
Yeah, I know you gave me a spoon, but this is easier...
Me and one of my sisters worn out from shopping, waiting for another sister to "finish up", LOL...
Hubbin's wishing he could be lazy, but he's too busy building our shed...

And, of course, my all time favorite photo target, Stormie... she's REAL good at being lazy...

Ahhhh...fuzzy bear is so comfy....

Man,...what was in that water bowl?...

Do you mind? How rude, a little peace and quiet every once in a while would be nice...

Now THIS is living...

Finally, the bed is ALL mine...

Photo Hunt - Sad

Today's theme was a little tough for me...I couldn't wrap my mind around photos that depicted this emotion, but I did my best...

I haven't seen my Mom in a few years, this is her blowing us kisses when we dropped her off at the Orlando Airport after our last visit - missing my Mom makes me sad...

I had hubby pull over, on a trip to N.C. several years ago, so I could take a photo of this smashed in old home. It's sad to think that this was once someones loved and cared for home, and now it sits there all alone with no kids runnin' around, no laundry blowin' in the breeze, no chickens cluckin' in the yard, just sad and lonely...

It's pretty sad that this is what "Camping" is today...OK, OK, I confess, I HAVE a small camper, but at least I don't have a satellite dish!!!! LOL

This is my Grandaddy, he turned 96 this past June. It makes me sad that he has lived 96 full, eventful, exciting years, raised 6 kids and been Grandaddy to over 20 grandkids, however he's unable to remember hardly any of it...but, he still remembers his "Quipie Doll" who died over 15 years ago, and he remembers that she was the most beautiful woman he ever saw.
Have a blessed day!
