Today I wanted to share with you a tip to save you some headaches. The one thing I don't like about hanging shirts on the line is the pinched look that is inevitable from placing the clothes pins on the shoulders of the shirts. If you hang them upside down, you get little darts at the bottom of your shirt. If you hang them by the sleeves, you end up with protusions in your arms. What is the solution? It's an easy one!
Place the shirts on hangers, then hang the hangar on the line and use two clothes pins to keep it from sliding down the line. Voila! No pinchy parts on your clothing... AND...you just take them off the line and hang them right up in your closet! Works great!
And YES, that is a "work rag" next to those shirts - not a face cloth, lol.
Have a blessed Easter!
You know how I feel about line drying! Woot! Woot! And I get a little embarrassed when I hang our rag cloths out because they look worse than that and I don't want our neighbors thinking we are nasty people. LOL!
ReplyDeleteLove you my bestest.
I wish I could have a line outside. I miss mine so much. But can't have one here.
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing nicer than line dried clothes - sheets in particular have a wonderful fresh smell that you can't get from a drier. I am surprised to hear that in some areas you can't have lines - strange for an Australian where you see them everywhere!!
ReplyDeleteWell that's an excellent idea! I was just thinking about using "God's dryer" today since it is finally a beautiful, gorgeous, we've-been-waiting-for-a-day-like-this kind of day. I've decided to rebel against our neighborhood covenants of "no clothes lines" and hang some laundry out to dry today. Thank you for the helpful tip!
ReplyDeletePeace and blessings to your day!
